Gorki Park is the largest recreational area in the centre of Amaty (Alma Ata), Kazakhstan. Although the glory of it's socialist past has faded, the park became a place of retreat for all those who cannot afford the high prizes in the city centre, where Kazakhstan's new elite celebrates its wealthiness.
